Bucharest - Ploiesti: 55.5km of this section are open to traffic. The remaining 6.5km are more challenging. Contractors interested for executing 3km of this stretch were announced, but the tender process was not finalised.

Ploiesti - Brasov: After the contract for Comarnic-Brasov was canceled, new tenders were launched for the end segments of Comarnic-Brasov. The tenders are ongoing.

Brasov - Targu Mures: No news on this section with the exception of some expropriation procedures. There are no segments open or under construction on this section.

Targu Mures - Gilau: 52km on this section are opened to traffic, while for the remaining 56.5 km contracts were signed this year. No major news in the past three months with the exception of some expropriation procedures.

Works in progress for all four segments, but slowed down due to beaurocratic procedures. Completion estimated in 2016.

No major news on other proposed motorways, with the exception of an opinion that any new project cannot start sooner than 2022. On the A6 motorway (Lugoj - Calafat) the only section opened to traffic consists of 11km opened in December 2013; no further news on this project.

Motorways A2: Bucharest - Constanta and A4: Constanta Ringroad are completed with entire length opened to traffic.
